According to a recent article in the Nanaimo Bulletin it looks like the Regional District of Nanaimo saw above-average growth at 1.2% That meant 1,532 new residents in 2002 a little above the province's average of 1.0 percent increase. Meanwhile other locations like Duncan fell about 2% and Victoria fell .6%.
